Bailouts win 2009 best cover band QOOL award

The Bailouts win the 2009 Qool award for Best Cover Band in South Florida

The win came after being nominated alongside impressive South FL bands such as 'The Coffee House Gypsies', 'Phoenix/NEBULIN' and 'The Five Ninez .'

The QOOL Awards cover the local South Florida Music scene between Miami and West Palm Beach. The 2009 Awards were organized by DJ Oski (of The Oski Foundation) and event promoter/local music supporter, The Queen of The Scene (from www.QueenofTheScene.net). Bands that performed at various festivals and live music events throughout South Florida during the 2009 year were ranked and nominated according to their genre. The award ceremony was hosted by Miami's oldest bar and live music venue, the Legendary, Tobacco Road.

The general public voted for their favorite band in each category and then attended the awards ceremony. Categories included; Best Band, Best Solo Act, Best Acoustic Act, Best Rock Band, Best Punk Band, Best Reggae Band, and more. This year's nominees included big names such as 'Jahfe' and popular local acts like 'City of God', 'DeRevo', 'Birdman's Clambake', 'Thousand Pounds of Thrust ', 'The Corner Stoners' and 'Dreaming in Stereo'.

This was the first ever nomination and win for The Bailouts, pretty impressive for a band that has been together for less than a year. This is an upcoming cover band that is quickly making a name for themselves in the local cover band music scene. They formula is simple, put on a great show and play songs that everyone will sing along too.

Currently the band has shows lined up all around the Miami area and is working on original material for 2010. The Bailouts look to welcome new listeners to a musical experience like no other!
